I was born and raised in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I went to Marquette University from 1987-1994 where I received my Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Thereafter I moved to Orlando, associating in several practices before I established my private practice in November of 1995. It has been a wonderful ride so far. Dentistry has been a great career for me, and I plan on practicing and getting to know my patients for at least another 20 years.

For me, the best part of being a dentist is helping people and getting to know them. I love spending time after treatment is finished, just chatting about whatever they are interested in. Everybody has their own unique insights and abilities, so it’s nice to hear what other people have to say. It’s all about learning and growing, and I enjoy being a part of that process.
Volunteer Work
I am very privileged to be a dentist. I believe that with that privilege is a responsibility to give back to the community. Helping people in need, and relieving their suffering is the noblest human action.
Dr. Eric Meeker has donated his time and services for:
Give Kids a Smile — A volunteer program that allows kids in need to receive complimentary dental care. Dr. Eric Meeker is one of the many annually participating dentists.
Dentistry from the Heart — Another volunteer program that sets aside the Friday closest to Valentine’s Day (that’s February 14th in case any of you guys forgot!), for a day of complimentary dental care for the community. We see way too many patients on this day, but it’s a lot of fun and very rewarding. People really appreciate this.
St. Luke’s Dental Clinic — This is a newly established, free-care dental clinic located here in Eustis. Dr. Eric Meeker is one of the rotating volunteer dentists. The clinic treats hardship patients on Mondays from 5:30 PM-8:00 PM.
Mobile Dental Van — This mobile dental van rotates to Lake County for treatment of hardship cases. Dr. Eric Meeker is a rotating volunteer.
Life can’t be all work. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball and tennis among other sports. I am passionate about music--all styles. I play guitar as a hobby. Movies, Tai Chi, reading (lots of reading!), and stimulating conversation are some other diversions.
